Ballinrobe Preview 22/07/14
Ballinrobe host the second day of their two day fixture this evening with the first race taking place at 5:45pm.
Course winner on the level, Rae’s Creek will be a warm order to take the opening maiden hurdle , however, Elishpour has the experience and some decent form to boot to at least give the favourite something to think about and he’s the selection.
The second is another maiden hurdle, this time for older horses. Cebuano doesn’t look the most resolute, therefore, maybe worth taking on with Little Rocky who has some good placed efforts to his name both on the level and over hurdles.
The third on the card is a handicap hurdle over 2m1f. Swantykay got off the mark last time at the expense of House Limit who reappears today and with only a 2lb pull in the weights, he’s taken to confirm the form, with a progressive looking profile.
A small but select field assemble for a conditions hurdle in the fourth on the card. Grand Partner won over an inadequate trip last time. He should be more at home over this longer trip and could well get the better of Riverside City who won what was an average looking contest last time.
Another open looking contest takes place at 7:50pm. Shane Shortall takes a valuable 7lb off Fethard Player’s back in the next to put him in with a good shout. Whatever It Takes should also run well for in form jockey Mark Walsh.
In an open looking contest for the penultimate race on the card, Forget and Forgive looks a good e/w bet with some decent placed efforts overseas giving him a lively chance. Supreme Vic is another who could run well.
Having finished just behind Run Fly Run last time over C+D, Rathmuck Native is taken to reverse form with the favourite in the closing bumper.
