Esoterique Pounces to land Sun Chariot
Late and fast was the delivery method of the winner Esoterique for Pierre-Charles Boudot aboard Andre Fabre’s filly as she claimed the front running Integral in the closing stages of the Group 1 Kingdom of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket.
Ryan Moore attempted to lead all the way on last years winner Integral but couldn’t find enough to repel the recent Jaques le Marois winner and the margin at the end was a comfortable half length success with Irish Rookie behind them in third.
On RacingUK the winning trainer Fabre was impressed with his charge…
“She showed something new which I wasn’t expecting, she showed a lot of courage and guts. She had to fight and she’s got stronger this year. She’s five now and is easy to train, we know her by heart.
“She could go for the Ascot race if she recovers well. She might be supplemented for the Breeders’ Cup. She can go to Japan, to Hong Kong and she might stay in training next year as well.”
