Joseph O’Brien not for switching

This weeks Talking Horses on RacingFM show featured top jockey Joseph O’Brien who confirmed that he is well on track now to return to race riding on the Flat at Cork this weekend.

Speaking to the Talking Horses panel of Dean Ryan, Niall Cronin, Slippers Madden and Daragh O’Conchuir the jockey explained he was “winning” his race to return now and was feeling good ahead of his delayed start to the Flat season.

Asked if he was to consider a proper crack at the National Hunt game instead of his highly successful Flat riding career he was adamant that was not the route for him although he is looking forward to a few more rides over jumps this term and wouldn’t rule out a crack at the Cheltenham Festival if they had one good enough to go.

Also on the show Dermot McLoughlin discusses Vics Canvas ahead of a bid at the BoyleSports Irish Grand National and Liam Glynn from the sponsors discusses the market for the race whilst finally we speak to Curragh trainer Tracey Collins on the line ahead of her charge Captains Joy running at the A/W Championships on Friday at Lingfield.
