Today’s Info 13th June 2015

Busy Saturday in store for us all but with Royal Ascot on the horizon it will be a quiet one for me in terms of wagers.

Highland Colori was poor last time out at York but is perched to figure and if “hit” more than “miss” as he has become over the past twelve months or so then he will be hard to beat, could sulk and not figure though so I am betting accordingly at a price that is fair to chance. We had a nibble with Keiren Shoemark up two weeks ago and this time David Probert is back on and that may have a positive effect but it was Oisin Murphy who was aboard during his golden spell. The ablity is there still which has been glimpsed at of late and I’m hopeful of a turn up from him rather than confident.

In the big sprint at Musselburgh I thought Online Alexander had been bubbling up nicely in two starts this term and especially under Amy Ryan on the last run. There are some decent yardsticks in this and Red Baron is solid but Shane Gray takes off a handy few pound although I do expect Kevin Ryan’s runner to relish this and improve past the mark earned for good efforts last term and I think has a bit more to offer this term now fit and ready to deliver.

In the Charity Sprint at 3.45 back at York I could only see merit in taking on the top two with Beacon who looks grossly overpriced if allowed to run off the top of the weights. Has a couple of things to prove but a small bet at the rag odds allow you the luxury of getting well paid for finding out if he can go through with an effort at this trip and if the promise of the run behind Limato was actually no illusion. Would have run very well that day on return but go no luck in running and that is perhaps a style of the animal but I’ll pay to find out in this type of company.

Best of luck with your selections especially if finding something more concrete on a tricky afternoon. Tuesday is close so keep the ammo ready!
