Today’s Info 14th November 2014

Another storming weekend starts early with Cheltenham kicking it off in style.

Handy Andy is too big to win back to back runnings of the opener on the card, won it really well last year under this pilot and I thought it was a very nice return to the track last month. Broadway Buffalo is interesting on the mark but will need to step plenty forward under Jamie Codd on what we have seen recently but it is a smart booking by the Pipe camp. Tizzard’s runner though is just so tough and this is an easier race than his return and I’d have him as the jolly.

There is plenty of rain due at the track and that has my eyes lit up for Shangani in the following race who could pick up and carry the field if it gets proper testing but I’d be more confident with a furlong or two more to work with. He is lot better with real give in the ground and a fascinating runner on the card. Can be bold up front and is not lacking pace so I will be having a nibble at him at silly odds. Next Sensation also looks worthy of small support after a very much cobweb clearing mission out of the way already. Clever trainer and they have a nice one who could defy a hefty weight in this and improve plenty this year.

I’ll be taking a good look at Dell ‘Arca and Splash of Ginge before the next and I’m looking forward to them matching off. Pipe’s charge could be seriously good but it’s certainly not the most attractive race for the bet on the card with lots to learn from it after the event. Similar comments apply to Blacklion in the next can’t wait to get a look at this one in the flesh too but once again at the likely odds and the field on offer it will be a race to study.

Great line up for the X country chase which is a cracking spectacle and then the last looks fiendishly tough to solve with Cup Final sure to be well fancied but almost impossible the back with and sense at the prices!

Be lucky
