Test

Today’s Info 15th April 2015

Cracking set of cards going to post today around UK and Ireland so make sure you join Rory Burke on RacingFM later today!

I’ll start at Cheltenham which is back today after a super Festival. A small bet on Shakalakaboomboom is in order in the 2.40 after a good spin last time out and a handicap mark that will hopefully be exploited here under Nico de Boinville. I thought the promise was there at Newbury and he should appreciate this test this afternoon against a number of rivals that would be obviously inferior to him if he can step up to the mark at 11 years old.

The market agrees but the inform Jefferson yard have had little or no luck with Attaglance so far over fences but he does look to be perched perfectly for a big run today on the Cheltenham card. Conditions ideal and a spin at the Festival will have him spot on so should be hard to beat. With a clear round he ticks a lot of boxes and hopefully gets the rub this afternoon.

There might be better days to have Chicoria on side for Henry Daly who looks a nice type for the future but back from a break and on decent ground there is more to come from this 6 year old, Richard Johnson has the ride and I was impressed with the progress made at Ludlow and Aintree prior to a non event for the horse at Market Rasen when well fancied. Steps up in trip again here and hopefully will be ready to go which would make the prices on offer appealing for a big run.

I’m delighted to see a good card at Newmarket and I’m most looking forward to Bossy Guest who had a great campaign last season for Mick Channon but always looked to me to be a little out of his frame and as a three year old could set up plenty this term. Happy to take on the other yards here with him first time back and the price is very generous considering his profile and liking for this track. Hopefully he has filled out as he looked set to do and can be a stong force this year for connections.

Spiriting in the last will be popular and short but is a nice type for this season with Luca Cumani whilst the feature races look very tough to nail colours to so watching briefs there.

Best of luck to all!
