Today’s Info 15th January 2015

Eyes on the Kinloch Brae at Thurles today and super supporting card to go with it.

Don Cossack will be looking to cement a really taking rise this year and his position at the top end of the Ryanair market for Cheltenham will face a stern test from Champagne Fever this afternoon. Texas Jack is a very decent animal too and tactics will be interesting. I expect Don Cossack to win but will enjoy the race for what it is without a wager, set for a great spectacle.

I’ve a couple of small bets elsewhere from Thurles with too stayers taking the eye in their respective contests.

Starting at Ludlow with the 1.55 I thought Forgotten Gold was ready to strike in a suitable contest. Of course the jockeys are a little less known but a cracking pilot is booked for Tom George’s runner and with the last run promising plenty then this grand nine year old can play a big part. Roll The Dice can be very quirky and also hit a fence or two whilst Royal Palladium has it to do again after impressive form has been given the treatment from the handicapper.

Also over at Wincanton Opening Batsmen deserves another chance after a poor run last time out when well supported for connections. He has a super mark to work with if he can reproduce something like his best and the trainer was confident that he would come back this season. The race is not strong and hopefully he will show his better form this afternoon and if he does he will win under Noel Fehily.

Catch all the racing on a busy day with Rory Burke and JJ Slevin in the RacingFM studio…good luck!

Ludlow 1.55 – Forgotten Gold 0.75pt Win – 5/1 General, 6 in places
