Today’s Info 16th July 2015

Good morning

A monster week for sport with the second test and the Open Championship ( Rose, Westwood and Keegan Bradley will be throwing my money in the bunkers I’d say… )

A few interesting runners today before the fun at The Curragh this weekend and the summer jumps action at Market Rasen.

Eve Johnson Houghton has not had the best of spells this term but her runners have been on the easy list for a while and now returning to full flow I think she might grab a deserved winner at Chepstow this afternoon with Cool Bahamian. Her runner bumped into Approvado last time and is continued with at the 6f trip under good conditions for a big run and against opposition that hopefully he can prove too strong for with a usual move a couple from home under John Fahy who gets on great with him.

Elsewhere I think Tandem is overpriced for what looks a decent bit of placement prior to heading to Galway by Dermot Weld as his hurdler heads to Killarney today. Davy Russell will ride and he hasn’t got it right with Tandem yet but the horse has plenty more to offer and should outclass only a couple of realistic rivals in the 3.05pm handicap over 2m1f. Expect him to win and I thought he might be plenty short but 3/1 is too big to ignore.

There has to be a chance that Tutu N’Guru can do similar to a small field at Doncaster this evening and show the Ascot run to have been a good learning experience behind Illuminate. Ran better than it looks there and promise shown on debut is not forgotten and this well regarded charge for William Haggas should be shorter tonight to step up and justify a few hot entries for later in the campaign.

Informative stuff elsewhere especially at Leopardstown with plenty of lightly raced types out it’s a day to nibble away and keep an eye on the sport elsewhere too!

Good luck to all

Advice –

Chepstow 3.00 – Cool Bahamian 0.75pt Win – 9/2 General

Killarney 3.05 – Tandem 0.75pt Win – 3/1 General

Doncaster 8.10 – Tutu NGuru 0.75pt Win – 2/1 General

0.5pt e/w treble
