Today’s Info 16th November 2014

A tough few days continues then with little to shout about. Many of the selections running similar races, sketchy fencing, running in snatches and fading away and ultimately disappointing.

Greatwood Hurdle today and I’m pretty keen on Garde Le Victoire but the way the ground has changed and gotten worse this week it will be a big unknown as to how he will cope. The same comments apply to the field though of course and when I went through the race originally I thought he would be closer to the top of the market along with Clondaw Warrior, Vaniteux and the quickly improving Exitas. Like thoses three there is lots more to come from Hobb’s runner too and he is a strong powerful animal who will certainly jump a fence but I’m hoping that is delayed a fair while if he can win this.

I’ve taken a bit of a flyer with Daveron in the opener who goes for Jeremy Scott. A winner last April up in trip at Taunton and can be competitive in this race with a decent blow out already under the belt. He will handle the bad ground and has a good pilot, he can also lay up close enough to the pace and I think he will enjoy the test. It’s a wide open race and he is a too big a price but it’s not a race for big stakes.

The rest of the card is decent of course, Module is interesting at the prices in bad ground for a tough looking Shloer Chase which contains a few that a little to find on him to date but will certainly do so this term.

The Morgiana is fascinating in Ireland too and some good racing elsewhere so enjoy your Sunday.

Advice –

Cheltenham 1.00 – Daveron 0.5pt e/w – 33/1 General

Cheltenham 3.15- Garde Le Victoire 0.75pt e/w – 16/1 General
