Today’s Info 16th September 2015
Kerry National day gets the go ahead although no Rebel Fitz certainly makes it a more open affair and the ground is going to be super testing for all. David Casey bows out and surely with a winner and a clear round on Long Dog later on the card and a seriously good jockey moves on in one piece to work for Willie Mullins, a top man.
The race itself has one stand out contender for me and that is the light weighted Lots Of Memories, I am a little concerned about the run at Fairyhouse for the the Irish National when seemingly should have had things in favour to go very well but has won here in the past, prepped for the race accordingly and is mighty well handicapped plus the assistance of a super young jockey. I think given the weights and the conditions he will take a bit of beating.
The Paparazzi Kid, Rule The World and Cantlow are interesting of the classier types and of the Gigginstown team Hurendus Hulabaloo would be the pick but I’ll just take one dart and hope a clear round means Paddy Kennedy is bang there at the finish.
At Sandown in form Ben Curtis gets another chance on Ladweb in the opener who has now been dropped to class 5 company and goes without the visor after two runs although shaped ok at Thirsk on first attempt and then the dummy was spat out at Goodwood over 6f and as a result the mark is now very attractive for this easier contest. Not a hot race, conditions will suit and if jumping out on terms can certainly win a couple the back of this season.
At Yarmouth I am keen to see Second Wave again and looks to have a few quirks but plenty of ability too, should have won all of his starts but hasn’t settled as needed and also when he does will be an easier ride. If that happens here I think the mark will prove very fair and whilst they may get some rain which makes betting a little more risky he still merits support.
Sandown 1.45 – Ladweb 0.75pt Win – 5/1 General
Listowel 4.20 – Lots Of Memories 1pt e/w – 7/1 General
Yarmouth 4.05 – Second Wave 0.75pt Win – 4/1 General
