Today’s Info 18th March 2015
Another winner yesterday thanks to a cracking ride and an improved performance from Cape York. Long may the little run continue.
Today a good card at Haydock and also jumps action at Warwick to concentrate on. In the 2.45 at Haydock plenty of chances lining up and the on to concentrate on might be the lightly raced 7yo Swing Hard who pulled up the last day on quicker ground over too short a trip but is interesting again over further this afternoon. A cracking jumper and one that will appreciate this test I think he is the most likely winner with Dougie Costello taking just the one ride on the afternoon.
Earlier on the card it should be worthwhile keeping faith with A Boy Named Suzie who ran a little flat when well backed for a far tougher affair last time out and classy type on the flat who certainly hasn’t hit the ceiling yet over hurdles. The trainer thinks a lot of him and once muted with previous connections as a Melbourne Cup horse. I think they have found the right race here and a little give in the ground should allow him to let himself down this afternoon.
A small bet at Warwick on Morning Reggie who has not jumped great in a few chase starts but a few furlongs extra will allow for a bit more rhythm and entitled to improve for his return from a short break, he looks a fair price in a small field to come good this afternoon. His run with Stellar Notion was full of encouragement and I think he is a little overpriced here to step up.

Haydock 2.45 – Swing Hard 0.75pt Win – 5/1 General
