Today’s Info 19th December 2014

A nice winner yesterday who went off a respectable price in the end so we keep the show on the road.

Good day’s racing today although field sizes are making finding a bit of value tricky enough. A nice eight runner field in the 2.55 at Uttoxeter offers some hope with Armedanddangerous seeing some support at each way prices. He is interesting on best form on bad ground and at this trip. He can go well fresh and returning from a break may not be a negative this afternoon for James Reveley and Tom Gretton. At shades of each prices available you’d be tempted to play safe and go each way but I think he’s be ready or he’ll need it and so a small win wager is the call.

At Ascot I’ll be keen to see Josses Hill jump a fence and should be able to win, Dunraven Storm is a little disrespected at the odds and could be the one to take advantage of any slips given his recent form and experience counts for plenty.

I’m taking a chance on Harry Hunt in the Handicap Hurdle for Graeme McPherson and Paul Maloney who only takes one ride on the card. He has plenty of good form although not for a while and it’s an interesting move to come here fresh on what is a winning mark for him. The ground might be a touch testing for him but he has scored on soft on the level and I think on the best of his hurdles efforts, most of them before he tried chasing, he is overpriced to figure. A small each way bet and hopefully he can get involved.

Advice –

Uttoxeter 2.55 – Armedanddangerous 0.75pt Win – 6/1 Tote, Boyles and Betfred

Ascot 3.05 – Harry Hunt 0.5pt e/w – 33/1 General, 40s and 50s in places
