Today’s Info 19th October 2014

More heartbreak with some unfortunate runs and another set of places at decent odds…. I really enjoyed Champions Day but it was some very tired horses on horrid ground but the right ones got their chance to shine and took it so delighted for Noble Mission and all connected with him. Also Forgotten Rules climbed another rung on the ladder to the top and on just a third start was a remarkable run, he got the breaks and was rough in the process but he is seriously exciting for when the tests get tougher as they will! If he jumps a hurdle in the future imagine where he might figure…

At card at Kempton today is what I am now interested in with of course The New One on display that will be worth checking he has those four very powerful legs still in the right places but he won’t win it half fit as the opposition is fair enough.

Two on the card I am having bets on are Morning Reggie and Regal Presence.

Morning Reggie will make a decent chaser for Oliver Sherwood and gets a first crack at them in the 2.45pm race over 2 miles which may prove a little shorter than optimum in time this term. That said he has been well minded in just seven starts and was growing plenty last year. The yard couldn’t be in the better form to bring him back and I expect they will have him ready for this as it appears to be very good placement. Rivals are fair standard but nothing shining and Morning Reggie can prove a little too tasty for them with a clear round.

Regal Presence has been markedly hit and miss for Victor Dartnell and can turn in very poor efforts which is clear from three pulled up efforts in last four starts. He does have a class edge on the rivals for the handicap chase though at 3.50pm and of course will need to jump round to show that to be the case. Good signs to see money come before being withdrawn for a recent engagement and Denis O’Regan is a positive booking always for the yards chasers. Blinkers are needed and they are present for this and with it hoping to stay dry then conditions ideal for the yard and jockeys only bit of business at the track this afternoon.

Advice –

Kempton 2.45 – Morning Reggie 0.75pt Win – 4/1 General

Kempton 3.50 – Regal Presence 0.75pt Win – 11/2 Powers, B365 and W Hil
