Today’s Info 21st March 2015

Tough day today I feel to find winners so a small few bets across the cards and hopefully the right side of some odds by post time.

The Mares Finale at Newbury is ultra tough and there are two I want to side with. Taniokey has more to offer for Oliver Sherwood, a trainer who has done well in this race, but she will need to settle for her experience gained now and after bleeding when upped in class earlier in the season. She is tough though and this better ground and what promises to be a proper test pace wise will suit plenty, overpriced to take a hand.

The other in the race is Kalane who is a lovely type, many are here, but can do better than when gaining some black type last time out and was impressive dispatching Monbeg Theatre before that who is a very decent yardstick in this context. Should be lots more to come this afternoon and Noel Fehily rides, price is tight enough but hopefully correctly so.

Two darts at the Handicap chase at 2.00 where Pepite Rose is going to be tough to beat although that is in the price, a super jumper and excellent at this track she must be primed to perform once again. The other is the less than hardy Persian Snow who may just have things fall right again and is the second bet here as threatening to win a decent pot or two this term, conditions right and the mark will look lenient when it comes together as it almost did behind a track “tarter” at the start of the season.

Cloudy Two heads the weights at 2.15 in the best race on offer at Kelso but seems to still need dropping in ratings to be competitive and it’s only a couple of spins since lining up in the Gold Cup which was clearly a step too far even when progressing well last term. The one that interests me is Sun Cloud for a now in form Malcolm Jefferson and fresh from a confidence boosting win last time out when readily winning over a shorter trip. He is a decent stayer who should have more improvement to come now and this mark is very workable now that the well being is confirmed. Knock A Hand should run a decent race and if wanting a second dart in the race the admirable animal will surely put in a shift.

That’s it for the afternoon so good luck and hopefully we hit the board later on!
