Today’s Info 22nd April 2015

Good morning.

One on the flat at Epsom and one over jumps at Perth today should keep us entertained although both are at the top of the market in competitive races.

Many of you will know What About Carlo is possibly one of my favourite horses in training for Eve Johnson Houghton and put up a bold big in the Lincoln over a trip shy of his best but returns to Epsom for a good prize and is hopefully about to step up again with conditions to suit. I don’t think there is anything of his class in here bar Mount Logan but with What About Carlo having been busy already and Mount Logan back from a break then hopefully it is a wise move not to save with Cumani’s potential improver. If there is market support for Mount Logan ( ala Ayaar at the weekend ) then that will be the nod needed.

I think What About Carlo should win and even at the top of the market is overpriced to do so despite the overnight thieves ruining the fun for the rest of us. In fairness anything over 4s was a proper rick.

The other bet is the well thought of and a little unlucky to date Dancing Shadow for Victor Dartnall at Perth. I’m surprised they haven’t won a race yet with him yet but the penny only really dropped last time and that was bumping into a smart one. Trip and ground fine, it is a perfect opportunity to come home in front and get a bit of confidence in and then he should go on again or be put away for next year.

Small e/w double to cover any cross bars, best of luck to all.

Advice –

Perth 2.20 – Dancing Shadow 0.75pt Win – 7/2 General

Epsom 3.55 – What About Carlo 0.75pt Win – 7/2 General, 4s in places

0.5pt Win Double
