Today’s Info 22nd July 2015

Flat action everywhere today and the highlight at Naas this evening when the nine runners line up for a good looking listed contest at 7.35pm.

The stand out runner in the pack for me is Newsletter for Ken Condon. Not been overraced but busy lately taking on strong opposition including last two starts in G3 company and running with great credit in both. Takes on some smart opposition but I’m surprised Shane Foley’s mount does not top the market with the layers. A smart juvenile, including a third to Anthem Alexander at Royal Ascot then bottomed out after that but returned this year stronger and looks to set the standard this evening.

Stroll Patrol was a winner at The Curragh at the weekend but this is certainly tougher and no g’tee the effort will be backed up so quickly, the biggest danger could be Minalisa if returning to last years best but somewhat below that so far this term. I think Newsletter can run right up to form and that should be good enough.

At Leicester in the 7.55 a case can be made for the dropped in trip and class this evening Jacob Cats under Timmy Murphy. Ran better than it looked last time out in a good race and will appreciate this test this evening, visor is also returned and the intent looks signalled to make a bold bid off top weight.

The returning Xinbama is interesting and if stripping fir will be the main danger but Jacob Cats should have everything right for a big run and quick ground will suit perfectly with it likely to stay dry to post. Looks overpriced for an each way play with nine runners.

Advice –

Naas 7.35 – Newsletter 1pt Win – 4/1 General

Leicester 7.55 – Jacob Cats 0.75pt e/w – 13/2 General
