Today’s Info 22nd March 2015
A nice winner yesterday with Kalane but quiet Sunday in store with three meetings and possibly the best action at Downpatrick although the Ulster National has an awkward position in the calender being so close to Fairyhouse and Aintree this year so the field is not the strongest.
Hard to see Bose Ikard not taking the beating there but he is far from bomproof and the prices steer you away from a big punt perhaps in the race but nevertheless he should be up to landing the feature for Noel Meade.
I like the trainers handicap hurdler Six Stone Ned on the card who is the best animal in the race and carries weight for it at 3.15. Ran better than it looked at Leopardstown, has a super claimer on who makes the burden less tasking and better ground here is ideal. The yard will be hoping to see him bounce back to his best form and this looks sensible placement, he is overpriced to take a hand in the finish in a race run to suit.
On the same card I was impressed with Knights Parade last time and that one looks to have a straight forward option in the race prior to Six Stone Ned although the prices tell the story there he should be winning again.
At Wincanton it might be worth taking a short enough price about Thomas Wild who is excellent at the track and been running more than well enough to pick these up for Philip Hobbs and Richard Johnson. No spring chicken but consistent and will love the better ground, rarely fails to put in a shift and with a clear spin will be hard to beat here.
The short ones together can make the afternoon a little more interesting although they are Sunday prices on a quiet day!
Have a great day and best of luck.
