Today’s Info 22nd November 2014
Some stars out again this weekend and hopefully a bit of luck will be too.
A short priced animal to start but Al Ferof looks too big to win on return once more for Paul Nicholls. He is great fresh and Ruby is back for the ride I expect him to be very tough to beat against Wishful Thinking and Rajdhani Express. It’s hard to believe that the rising 12 years old Wishful is vying for the top of the market although he was good last time it’s a big ask to back that up in this race under Tomas O’Brien. Henderson’s Rajdhaani Express is a frustrating animal and although the ratings give him fair claims I think he has struggled to live up to the promise he has shown and does not appeal as a likely winner to me at present. Fox Appeal has to improve a fair bit and Somersby and Bury Parade should also find this pretty tough at present. A clear round and a best when fresh Al Ferof will take plenty of beating once more and 11/4 is very appealing indeed.
Sixty Something is a well handicapped chaser for Paul Webber who is in desperate need of a change in fortune! Slips, falls and bumps feature in chase starts to date but he is a powerful stayer who can make a mark this term if he can get round in one piece and enjoy his racing. The race at Haydock looks perfect and I think he is a nice price in first time peices ( won in first time aids before ) and I’m hopeful he can take the race on route to better contests this winter.
The Fixed Brush Race is a corker but I’d didn’t think there was a standout contender which leaves the market tricky to play in. I can see several winning and only a small play on Pipe’s supposed second string is advised. I thought Vieux Lion Rouge was a nice type for this since he ran well at Cheltenham in April last year and his come back run was decent. He is overpriced but it is a hot race and one that often unleashes a good animal of course.
I’l have change on Dynaste in the Betfair Chase but I’ll have slightly more on According To Trev in the last who fell in the Badger Ales but ran so well behind Court By Surprise the time before and has more to offer as a chaser for his new yard. The ground could be a little soft so it is not a big wager but he is in against a relatively out of form bunch and if none the worse for that tumble last time should be shorter to figure here.
I may add some more selections tomorrow but it’s great racing and lots to watch even if not investing with Champion Hurdle, King George and Gold Cup markets set for a shake up…
