Today’s Info 25th August 2014

Busy day in store across the UK with more meetings than you can shake a stick at.

Picking through them is no mean feat but a few stand out at the prices but whatever you do be selective and stake accordingly – rain everywhere too makes things mighty interesting ( or tough…).

I’ll start at Ripon with one selection. Bartack is in rude health, the success this track stands out plenty and a few of the rivals today prefer to get beaten than score. Osteopathic Remedy loves this race and is respected again as is King Torus but Bartack can follow up and is a fair price to do so.

At Warwick you have to think Goldream is a solid chance for the 3.40pm but 2s is below my minimum although it looks the only bet on the card.

Epsom provides some nice fodder and it starts with a wager on Inciting Incident for Ed McMahon and Ryan Moore. Expect a front running effort and being tough to peg back similar to the effort at Nottingham recently. That was a good time and in what looks a match with the fav can score again.

The sprint on the same card at 3.10pm looks a perfect chance for Seeking Magic to get a deserved return to the winners enclosure.  A much easier contest than recent starts and in this grade is the class act, Ryan Tate with a further three pounds off helps the cause and Clive Cox’s runner should be fav for the race in my view.

Ayrad has sights lowered in the 3.45pm and could get things to suit here. Lightly raced of course and impressed me at Hamilton so I do expect more to come now and still has some cracking entries ahead. James Doyle rides and he is worth a small chance at the prices.

Echo Brava has a solid chance in the 4.20 but amateur races and with rain about dents confidence. The price means we have to have a go but he could well come out of the contest and is engaged tomorrow at Wolverhampton. The solid form in recent races will make him hard to beat with any normal luck through the race.

Finally at the track Dandy is no forlorn hope in the 4.55 at silly prices and may be best played on the machines to maximise any trade opportunity.

Lots to listen to then on RacingFM – stay dry if you can and best of luck to us all!
