Today’s Info 28th March 2015

Things went west yesterday with some poor efforts but that happens and we roll on in what has been a topsy turvy month to date!

Two flat bets today and two of my favourite horses on the level grace the opening card at Doncaster. Astaire is set a lovely task on return to the track and hopefully will be more than good enough to win before tackling stiffer races this season. Just growing up last year in top company and should be a force this term having wintered and strengthened again.

In the Lincoln I think it can be worthwhile giving What About Carlo a fair chance for Eve Johnson Houghton who has always thought the world of her charge and connections sure fit to get a prep run in but that was a slow run affair and What About Carlo is a gross type who will strip and perform better here. It could be argued he needs further but it is all about pace, there should be lots on and that will suit Jimmy Fortune’s ride and he can travel and finish well. looks overpriced to be involved.

At Stratford I’m hopeful that often the bridesmaid Good To Know will finally drop on the line for Richard Lee’s in form yard and Jake Greenhall after some very creditable efforts this term. Unlucky not to have a win or two on the board and with conditions set to suit once again and although crept up the weights I think there is a bit left yet.

The other in the race is Ballinvarrig and a market move there would be significant and worth saving should the money arrive for an nicely in form yard, threatened to win on a couple of occasions and is overpriced too.

Really looking forward to Harp Star under Ryan Moore in Dubai, I think the price of around 3/1 or so could be the best bet on the card there and on a difficult day for punters perhaps the best punt of the afternoon. Good luck to you all if getting involved and hopefully we have a bit of it across the cards.
