Today’s Info 31st July 2015

Good afternoon

More from Galway and Goodwood today and it’s cracking racing as you would expect.

I’m keen on Cotai Glory today to get the better of Muthmir in the sprint at Goodwood. Very encouraged by the belated return to the track and this looks a match up with the Haggas runner. The receipt of weight should be enough to carry them home and the price is still fair to get involved.

The Betfred Mile looks tailor made for fav Basem and it’s hard to not get involved there but the price is short now and I’d rather take two at prices to go better than the odds suggest. Big Baz is overpriced and was steadily improving before a poor run at Ascot and then ran ok in better class next time up. Has more to come and can figure despite rag odds if handling this camber, a big rolling horse who will come home strong if able to get a position before the 2 pole. The other is Ayaar who is class but let the side down with a strange run last time out, at 20s or so well worth keeping faith once again and owes us little after a great seasonal return for Luca Cumani.

Fadhayyil looks the best bet on the card and at 5/2 should be backed to follow up some excellent form without winning this term with Paul Hanagan up top this afternoon. Osaila got her day at Ascot and New Providence is likely to have more to come but I think the standard is nicely set by the market leader and just enough juice in the price to play accordingly.

At Galway the rain is falling but hopefully not too much to blunt the return to hurdles of smart Gambling Girl for Jessica Harrington in the opening contest. There are lots of question marks about the top of the market and Gambling Girl certainly needs to return to best previous efforts but the yard are flying she prepped behind Silver Concorde and can win this with a nice run through the race. Ability is there for sure and looks underestimated in the market for a big run.

In the Blazers Rohan’s Pride deserves to go well from the front under Brian Hayes and it’s that style of running and the stiff track that will suit well later this evening. A solid jumper and in good form I think in a wide open race he can be played each way. Never Complain and As De Pique head the dangers but Rohan’s Pride if getting out at the front end will make them go and hopefully get up the hill when it get’s interesting at the end.

Good luck to all!
