Today’s Info 31st October 2014

Good morning

Such is life when you have a 50/1 shot run better than the odds that you get chinned for 3rd place! Nakuti owes me little this term but she ran her heart out again and to come up so close to another nice return is a little frustrating!

A few of interest today with one on the level at Newmarket who ran a super race last time and that’s Arcamante for talented young pilot Joey Haynes and Karl Burke. The prominent ride last time allowed him to show his best and if he can run a similar race here off a nice low weight he may be worth sticking with at each way prices. Mister Pagan is rightly at the top of the market and remains in good form but I think Arcamante is a a little over priced to be involved at the end and hopefully is tough to pass this time and bumped into just one too good last time.

The 2.15 at Wetherby is a nice race and there will be lots of interest in best when fresh Silver Roque of course, can be an explosive sight when right, a good traveller who has done well for his yard and is hard to argue against as the favourite. This is a hot contest though and whilst it’s perhaps a little brave to back Cedre Bleu I am going to do so now he has been reported as doing good things at home by new trainer Charlie Mann. He is the best horse in the race if he decides to go through with what always looks a winning move at the end of a race. They have the right aids on and Dougie Costello has the interesting job of convincing him to do the right things at the finish. He is overpriced and is probably still worth that lay in play as they come to the business end but he can win this and go further this year if the change of scene is what was needed.

I was a big fan of Dardanella last year when with Richard Lee and they have moved the horse to Alan King now and she has been set a nice task at 3.00pm at Uttoxter. Always held in good regard and it’s s a shame she is on the move but lots more to come I think this term and should be too good for them here.

Advice –

2.15 Wetherby – Cedre Bleu 0.75pt e/w – 11/2 General, 6s and 5s in places

3.00 Uttoxter – Dardanella 1pt Win – 3/1 General

3.45 Newmarket – Arcamante 0.75pt e/w – 12/1 General, 11s and 10s in places
