Today’s Info 4th Janaury 2015
A winner yesterday and more seconds it’s been a crossbar period since Christmas but winners help!
I have a small bet in the Plumpton feature at 2.50pm where last time out winner Leg Iron might prove a tad overpriced.
Won well last time and was a faller behind Reblis in this last year when well in touch and it is a race that will obviously suit well today if the jumping can hold up in the latter stages. The Venetia Williams pair and Reblis of course look the main players in the race but at 18/1 it’s not difficult to make a case for the Sheena West veteran.
It will take a career best to win but course form is very good with a couple of runner up finishes and of course that run here last year. The ground is not as testing which should aid the jumping and he does battle very well, I think the mark is just about fair and whilst he has just turned 10 there should be a few pounds there to work with.
It will be about rhythm and he needs all of this trip according to the trainer so up the front and try to battle away from there. An each way play in what will be an attrition test over the final few flights.
Cracking contest at Naas too will reveal plenty about Tell Us More and Free Expression – not splitting them my self happy to see that happen on the track.
Plumpton 2.50 – Leg Iron 0.5pt e/w – 16/1 General, 18s in places
