Today’s Info 5th August 2014
A bit of luck over the big week at Galway and Goodwood might have had us landing a couple of big priced winners but settling for places is fine if you backed them correctly – well better than I did!
Actually drawn to Cork this evening for a tidy card. Little Sweatheart looks the best wager on the night in the 6.25pm for Pat Flynn and Ian Queally. A ready winner last time and hit for it by the handicapper but they are back out quickly in another winnable race. Plenty of duds amongst the opposition and I’d be hopeful the Lawman filly will score again.
In the 7.25pm I think Mick Halford’s runner Sea Coast will take a bit of beating. Shane Foley rides in a much easier race than tackled at the Curragh last time and the price is fair for a wager. The win at Naas was decent and a repeat with the Curragh experience also added to the mix give me plenty of optimism now.
In the 7.55pm Dark Crusader has a tough task but watch the market as well touted in Galway last week and now running here, might just be back to best form and the market will tell more.
Cork 6.25 – Little Sweatheart 0.75pt Win – 4/1 General
Cork 7.25 – Sea Coast 0.75pt Win – 7/2 General
