Today’s Info 5th December 2014

No shame in Lemon’s Gent running as he did yesterday, felt they were always a stride or two quicker than he hoped for and it was a case of trying to get front end and wasting energy in the process. A few more furlongs in distance and a similar race he can start ( I hope ) to climb the ladder!

I have to chance Shangani today at Exeter now he has a better trip to tackle, I thought he would make them all go at Cheltenham but that was obviously too sharp and now he can lie up a bit closer or better still get front rank for this race over the best part of 2 and a half miles.

The yard continue to fire well and he should win races off this mark and hopefully higher this term, the ground could be softer and he has got some tricky rivals but I think it is probably up to him and we’ll know from the first few flights just how involved he will be. A small bet at prices too big.

I’m having two darts at the marathon chase over 4m where Richard Johnson may have to work hard in the saddle but if he can keep Benbane Head interested in the final mile or so I think he will win the 3.20pm for trainer Martin Keighley. He is well treated over fences and ran a really good race last time behind Gas Line Boy. His confidence is returning and will be a tough nut to crack if still pitching in this – he may trade better in running though as he can hit flat spots but remarkably thrives on a bit of pressure.

The other in the race is Gorgehous LLiege who is really clicking into gear and surely has more to come, not many will fancy this contest but he will and the question is whether he can put it all in again off a new mark. You have to think Adrenalin Flight is interesting too but I like the fav and he is the saver but I hope Benbane Head get’s it right today.

Handy Andy is the right price at Sandown and should win but needs to be 3s plus for a wager I feel, small fields there dominate and we’ll get stuck in again tomorrow.

Advice –

Exeter 1.40 – Shangani 0.75pt Win – 11/1 General

Exeter 3.20

Benbane Head 0.75pt Win – 6/1 General

Gorgehous LLiege 0.5pt Win – 10/3 General ( 9/2 with BETFRED looks an error! )
