Today’s Info 5th September 2015

Good morning

A quick spin through today’s wagers across a busy day. Next weekend of course see’s the ICW in Ireland at Leopardstown and the Curragh which will be a step up again on last year – can’t wait.

At Haydock in the 2.00pm Superior Mile it is a shame no Ivawood on show as at around the 3/1 mark looked a class above but it opens up for Captain Cat to repeat the feat of last season and Balty Boys looks the main danger again. Not concerned over the two outings this term without sparking it is the ease in the ground that is a slight worry but overpriced to win again and Charlton’s runners are firing.

At 2.35pm Oasis Fantasy might just get a bit more luck this afternoon and overcome what is a tad tricky draw but he shapes well this term and can get a derserved pot under Frankie this afternoon with the step back to 1m6f a big plus after fading last time out. Pieces will also help at the end and provided Frankie can get a position to work from, which he should given the trip, then I expect a big run off a mark that remains fair.

Suzi’s Connoisseur ran a lifeless race last time considering the Stuart Williams runner was boiling in to form and seemed to have solid claims, back out quickly and Joe Fanning rides I think we can allow one more chance to get a reward for some faith shown. The other two in the race I considered are Fox Trotter who should be much better than the luckless effort last time and showed up well under Hughes the time before and also Gabriel’s Lad who returns from a lay off here at a track when cut is in the ground Coakley’s charge is hard to shake off.

Two darts in the Sprint Cup which looks really open and Gordon Lord Byron is the main player with everything lined up for a repeat of his big runs in this contest. Bit of cut, prepped accordingly and on side if you are playing in the race under Wayne Lordan.

The other is Tiggy Wiggy, a whole host of super three year olds in here but the smart sprinter of last term looks a forgotten runner at the prices considering she still ran third in the Guineas and was highly fancied to run a big race in the Commenwealth Cup. That was a seriously strong contest and under Hughes she ran a race that was too bad to be true and eased right off. After that blip connections are back with her for a weaker race in terms of line up at what should be the perfect trip, handles cut and is overpriced. If she is gone after that tough race in the Guineas  and her subsequent failure then we will find out today, if not then she is a big player.

Best of luck, I’ll certainly be trying to nab the forecast and the tricast at 2.50!
