Today’s Info 6th May 2014
No luck yesterday and this is a rather quiet start to the column.
Today it is hard to find suitable wagers although there is plenty of action. Big fields at Fairyhouse help to make a few markets and the rain has held off so far and that will bring a few in that might not have had their conditions for a while. Two in the 6.10 make limited appeal, Company Calling will like the terrain and has only been brought along slowly, the market hasn’t missed Culloty’s charge though and Davy Russell rides. The other is Grove Field who has much better form on good ground, will appreciate a trip and hasn’t enjoyed much luck to show true ability to date. The latter is a backable price at each way stakes and the rain will need to stay away so wait till the off and see what the skies bring to the party before you invest.
At Exeter I think Jump City has more to offer and will suit a typical Sam Twiston-Davies ride should he get one over this trip. The bit of rain about will help and I think this is his level, he does hold form well with plenty of racing and could be nicely in his comfort zone here. Pieces worked fine at Wincanton and he deserves to pick up another race. The price is fair.
