Today’s Info 7th August 2014
A winner bagged again yesterday, surprised there was no enquiry called as it was a drifting effort to hold on but happy to collect. My other selection was detached from halfway and has to be something amiss there after a drift and missing the break with the field. That is Racing!
Two again today and will happily take one putting a nose in front on the line.
Arlecchino is interesting back at the right trip for Ed McMahon and Royston French at Haydock in the 2.10pm. Best form at this trip which if replicated now given a chance at it once more will take a lot of beating. Running well over further without looking ideally suited to it or likely to pick up a race anytime soon this makes sense to come back and try here. Conditions are right if they stay as they are and there is no reason to assume he will not run a good race, the mark of 63 can be exploited soon.
I hope Michael Murphy can do me another turn at Brighton a little later in the afternoon with Echo Brava for trainer Luke Dace in the 3.50pm. Punted to win last time at Epsom but did a little too much too early at the trappy venue and was collared. Running at too short prior to that and is handicapped to take a hand in my view, always runs a race and can go well again. At the prices one I am happy to chance and with a bit of luck will get the right pace to chase and come home strongly.
Good luck to all.
