Today’s Info 7th July 2015
Looking at the Pontefract card this afternoon I can’t resist another peer over the cliff with Nakuti for Sylvester Kirk who has booked up Ben Curtis this afternoon for a crack at the Listed Pipalong Stakes.
A lovely animal who has not got the credit or the results deserved in her runs over the last 12 months, winning only under a Moore drive at Newmarket almost a year ago on soft ground against a depleted field. Capable of more and often not the simplest of runs during races leave her a little underestimated, her last effort a good example of that and whilst taking on a fair set of rivals here I think she can outrun the rag odds and get involved.
Roger Varian runners are starting to blossom and Highclere’s Parish is entered up after a short break and on just a 5th start in first time peices catches the eye on the same card. Has travelled with purpose but found little and often the case with such runners for Highclere it’s normal for progression to come with patience. In a dead eight field now and Graham Lee up I expect a bit more to come and the prices are fair if it does in what looks decent placement for an in form yard.
Good luck to all and a quick note for Kerry Lee with the first runners of her training career at Uttoxeter this evening having taken over the reigns from father Richard. Definate Future a well nanmed first representative…
Pontefract 3.10 – Nakuti 0.75pt e/w – 25/1 General
