Today’s Info 8th November 2014

Good morning

One last hurrah for the Flat today and I’ve a selection in the race but with the likely torrid ground it is brave to play it at all. Communicator is the one I like for Andrew Balding and David Probert. Run well in this race before and will handle ease in the ground, how much ease is hard to tell but I thought he ran a perfectly good race in the Ces and he does get further than today’s trip so I’m hopeful he can put it together once more at this meeting. Mount Logan is the other I like but I’m very concerned about the ground being suitable for the 3 year old and this could be too tough for him albeit he has more to come on the racetrack.

In the Badger Ales I’m going with Golden Chieftain after being happy enough with him at Cheltenham when we were supporting him behind Roalco de Farges. Lots of what he did that day was perfect and just a lack of a spin caught him out, he has a nice weight and is full of talent so I hope a clear round and stirpping a bit fitter he will be very competitive.

I can’t let the race be won without a small bet on Pantxoa who could still improve for Alan King this year, won last time out for us and is a lovely chaser who blossomed later than expected after being a bit difficult to organise early on over hurdles and fences. They have him in good shape of course and despite the weight he is once again overpriced to figure in the finish.

Two darts at the 2.30 at Sandown where Roudoudou Ville can be tough to beat at the top of the weights if returning in good nick for a stable that are already going well. Very good animal who lost his way a bit last season but finished it well and does go well here, fitness taken on trust but with a clear round he is fairly priced.

The other is Barrakilla who probably resumes on a nice mark since beating one of my favourite animals Persian Snow in December and sustaining a minor injury. That win looks good now of course and out of the field he is the one with the most scope for dramatic improvement this term in my view. Worth a second bet in the race and hopefully both run well.

Best of luck with your bets today and fingers crossed we can hit the board with these!
