Tote Ireland donating profits to Irish Injured Jockeys Fund
Tote Ireland today announced that they will donate all profits from bets placed through Tote on French racing this May 3rd to the Irish Injured Jockeys Fund.
Tote customers can bet on up to 4 race meetings on the day with Group 1 racing from Longchamp featuring the Prix Ganay. The Dermot Weld trained Fascinating Rock is the sole Irish entry in the race at this time.
Tim Higgins, CEO of Tote Ireland said: “Tote have been supporting Irish racing since 1930 with all our profits returning to Irish racing. The work of Irish Injured Jockeys Fund is crucial in supporting the jockeys who put themselves on the line every day. We’re delighted to run this special fundraiser for the Irish Injured Jockeys Fund and we hope people get behind us to raise lots of money.”
“This is a great incentive for funds to be raised for Irish Injured Jockeys and in light of recent events the charity needs all the support that it can get to help injured riders. We appreciate the gesture that Tote are making and would encourage race goers to get on board and show their support on May 3rd” Carey-Ann Lordan, PR & Marketing Manager, Irish Injured Jockeys.
Tote customers can bet on French racing daily at www.thetote.com, on their mobile app and at every race track in Ireland. Tote plan to run a series of customer promotions around major French race meetings throughout the summer and details will be available at www.thetote.com
